Kinesio & Compassion

Kate specializes in visceral manipulation of the pelvis, particularly for women who are in the pre and post-partum stages of pregnancy. Pelvic Visceral Manipulation targets adhesions of the reproductive organs, surrounding ligaments, muscles, joints and support structures of the pelvis, abdomen, hips and lower back. Releasing this area of the body helps women who are trying to conceive, experience painful periods, and are recovering from birth. Before pregnancy, Pelvic Manipulation will strengthen the pelvic floor and core, preparing the body for carrying a child and will also address discomfort or pain during sex that could make conception difficult or become more painful during pregnancy. After birth Pelvic Manipulation helps to restore strength to the pelvic floor, can help resolve issues of incontinence, Diastasis Recti, pain in the pelvic area, uterine prolapse and can prevent C-section scars from healing in a way that causes adhesions and pain.
